This Workshop opens for registration on November 14, 2024, for AQG members who were registered for the October class and on 11/19 for all other AQG members.

This is the class we had to cancel after Hurricane Helene but this time we are going to do it as a zoom class in two parts.  It will be on Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 9 am to noon and Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 9 am to noon.

Candy Grisham has a new workshop for us and she calls it her Fun Fabulous Mystery Quilt.  She was kind enough to give me a sneak peek and I agree, it IS fabulous and looks like it will be fun to put together.  My biggest issues with mystery quilts is that I often don't like the colors chosen but Candy has taken that problem out of the equation.  You select a layer cake (10" squares), two accent colors and a background so you are sue to love the colors!  Candy is and excellent instructor and her classes are always fun so join us!

During our annual January Community Quilt Day, we will be social while sewing for others.  After a brief guild meeting, you will work on quilts for children in need or adult quilts for Homeward Bound.  All materials are cut to size so all you will need is your machine, scissors, thread and pins.

If you are unable to bring your sewing machine please email Nancy Dalzell at mailto:ndalzell34@att.net.  We have a very limited number of non sewing jobs.

Lunch will be provided by the Guild.  Please register so we know how many we are feeding.  Thanks!

    Working with Fence Rail

Learn techniques to make a pieced quilt top worthy of any judge's eye. You will learn how to prepare your fabric and cut it with precision. Then you will learn how to sew the strips together precisely and cut them into blocks.  The blocks will be assembled in a way that guarantees a flat quilt top.  NancyLynn will guide you through these steps using your own equipment and fabric.  This class is designed for advanced beginners.
