Habitat for Humanity House Blocks

A Special Gift for New Homeowners

Since early 2021, the Asheville Quilt Guild has partnered with Habitat for Humanity to create and donate custom quilted House Blocks for families moving into their new homes. This heartwarming project combines creativity, community spirit, and the welcoming tradition of quilting.

Each House Block is a unique, handcrafted piece of textile art designed to commemorate the joy of homeownership. Created by our talented Guild Members, these blocks are made to be displayed as a wall hanging in each new home, symbolizing warmth, care, and community support.

This ongoing collaboration reflects the shared values of both organizations:

Volunteers from the Guild donate their time and skills to make each block a memorable keepsake. The result is a lasting gesture of welcome and congratulations from one part of the community to another.
