Camp Bluebird

Camp Bluebird is a retreat for cancer survivors held at the Bonclarken Conference Centre in Flat Rock where the guild offers 3 sewing sessions to the campers:  A morning session on September 10th from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon and two afternoon sessions on September 9th and 10th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.  We need 8 volunteers each session to provide encouragement and support to the campers. If you sign up for both sessions on the 10th, lunch will be provided.

The guild provides everything that the campers need to make a small project that they can take home. This year's project is a small cosmetic bag with a rainbow sun motif we will create and sew on. (See photo below.) Several previous volunteers have reported back how enriching and rewarding this event was for them. It is also a great way to connect with other members of the guild. Please consider volunteering for this worthwhile event.
