Camp Bluebird

Camp Bluebird is a retreat for cancer survivors held at the Bonclarken Conference Centre in Flat Rock where the guild offers 3 sewing sessions to the campers:  A morning session on September 16th from 9:00 am to 11:30 am and two afternoon sessions on September 15th and 16th from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm.  We need10 volunteers each session to provide instruction, encouragement and support to the campers. If you sign up for both sessions on the 16th, lunch will be provided.  This event was such a success that we have been asked to provide more volunteers so we can accommodate more campers.  

The guild provides everything that the campers need to make a small project that they can take home. This year's project is a fabric basket with handles in their choice of fabrics that reflect this year's theme - "Superheros, soaring ahead to a brighter future".  Many previous volunteers have reported back that this event is their favorite and how rewarding this event is for them. It is also a great way to connect with other members of the guild. Please consider volunteering for this worthwhile event. Thank You!
