Programs

There is a program at each meeting ranging from quilting clinics to presentations by nationally-known speakers. Our guild has several members who regularly are juried into and win national quilt shows, so we have plenty of talent and opportunities to learn from the best.

Workshops

Supplementing our monthly programs are monthly, day-long workshops provided by our speakers. These usually take place on the day following the regular monthly meeting. This is your opportunity to immerse yourself in learning a new technique or just soaking up the creativity of your teacher and the fellow students around you…. not to mention the fun! For a current workshop schedule, visit our workshop schedule page. The cost varies for each workshop. Members receive a discounted price, while non-members pay full price.

From downtown Asheville on I-240:

• Take Exit 2 (US-19 Bus/US-23 Bus) toward W. Asheville.
• Turn right onto Haywood Rd at the light.
• Turn right onto Balm Grove Ave to access the church parking lot.

• Take Exit 2 (W. Asheville/US-19 Bus/US-23 Bus).
• In .2 miles turn left onto Hanover St.
• Take the 2nd left onto Haywood Rd/US-Bus N/NC 191.
• In .3 mile turn right onto Balm Grove Ave to access the church parking lot.

Meetings

The Asheville Quilt Guild Meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the Month:

• 10 a.m. in odd-numbered Months, plus February
• 7 p.m. in even-numbered Months, except February
  (in the Evening in Even months!)

Part of the monthly meetings are presentations given by selected speakers who generally conduct the workshops that take place the following day.

Snow/Bad Weather Policy
In the event of snow or inclement weather, we will follow the A-B Tech schedule. If school is canceled at A-B Tech, we will not meet. School closing information can be found at WWNC (Radio, 570 AM) or WLOS (TV, Channel 13), or on the A-B Tech college website (www.abtech.edu). Please use your own judgment as to the road conditions in your area.
