Sell
Guild members will be able to provide quilting and sewing items for sale. Sale proceeds are for members alone, not the guild. Suggest members consider unused fabrics, UFO’s, quilting and sewing notions, books, really, anything related to fiber arts. Got an extra sewing machine, maybe someone has a friend or family member who wants to learn to sew! Your unused fabric is someone’s great find! Maybe you have that book on a technique, someone else has been wanting to try. Whether you have ten things or a hundred, please bring them, prices marked and ready to sell. Make sure you contact Carolyn Schwarz at cschwarzp5@gmail.com by February 10, so we can plan for enough tables. (Remember to bring cash to make purchases.)
Tell
There will be a place set up for you to show and tell us about your current, favorite, or best quilt. We will record you speaking and showing the quilt to be put on our Facebook page and share with The Quilt Alliance as part of their S.O.S. (Save Our Stories) Project. Be prepared to talk about why you made it, who designed it and how you chose the fabrics. Why is this quilt special to you. We will record you and your quilt in three minute videos. Contact Carolyn Schwarz at cschwarzp5@gmail.com by February 10, if you wish to participate.
Learn
There will be several stations where specific techniques will be demonstrated. For example, we all bind our quilts, but are there better or easier ways to approach this necessary step in quiltmaking?
Community Quilts Workday
Saturday, February 21, 2026
10 am to 2 pm
Lutheran Church of the Nativity
2425 Hendersonville Rd.
Arden, NC 28704
During our annual Community Quilt Sew Day, we will be social while sewing for others. You will work on quilts for children in need. All materials are cut to size so all you will need is your machine, scissors, thread and pins.
If you are unable to bring your sewing machine please email Nancy Dalzell at mailto:ndalzell34@att.net. We have a very limited number of non sewing jobs.
Lunch will be provided by the Guild. Please register so we know how many we are feeding. Thanks!
