What's Old is New Again (WOINA)

  • WOINA is a Quilt Show committee that works in collaboration with Community Quilts by accepting donations from guild members to raise funds for the many programs and opportunities that the Asheville Quilt Guild offers the community. The items collected throughout the year are categorized, priced and displayed for sale during the Asheville Quilt Show.

    Items that are wanted for donation include:

        • quilting fabrics (yardage, fat quarters, special bundles and scraps)
        • fabric other than cotton (that can be used for quilting)
        • books and patterns
        • kits, UFOs (“Unfinished Objects”), orphan blocks and quilt tops
        • quilting and non-quilting notions
        • sewing machines
        • other specialty items (portable, not furniture items)

      Items that are NOT collected for donation include:

          • magazines
          • batting scraps and quilt trimmings
          • sheets
          • clothing
          • household items

      Note:  You may request a 501(c)3 receipt for tax purposes for any in-kind donations of goods to AQG at the time of donation.

      Any donation given as a result of cleaning out a sewing room or studio should be directed to the Community Quilts Chair at Community.Quilts@AshevilleQuiltGuild.org. (See donation information at Community Quilts Webpage)
